Face forwardGood lightOne person
What you need
- Your phone, held steady or leaned against something
- Daylight from a window, in front of you
- A plain background
- About 10 minutes
What to record
- A hello. Look into the camera, smile, say your name and one friendly line.
- A walk. Step back, then walk toward the camera and turn.
- A natural moment. Laugh, pick something up, or react to something off camera.
Tips
- Film sideways or upright, but be consistent
- Keep the light in front of you, not behind
- Record each clip a few times and keep the best
- Do not add music or text yet. Keep the clips clean
This is practical advice, not a rule. Better footage gives you a better reel, so redo a clip if it looks dark or shaky.
Questions
How long should my intro video be?
About 20 to 30 seconds of clips is enough to start, and you can cut it shorter.
Do I need a special camera?
No. A recent phone in good daylight works well.
What do I do with the clips afterward?
Keep the best take of each, then add them to your profile or send them to an editor.
