15
Seconds
The basics
- Vertical: film with the phone upright (9:16)
- Short: 5 to 30 seconds is plenty to start
- One idea: one product, one job or one moment
Make the first seconds count
Start on the most interesting frame: the finished cake, the reveal, the before and after. Do not open with a logo.
Captions and text
Many people watch without sound. Add a short line of text on screen and a plain caption that says what it is and what to do next.
Music and sound
Original sound from your shop can work well. Music from Instagram's own library is available to attach inside the app. Do not use songs you do not have rights to in your video file.
What to film
- A product being made or finished
- A before and after
- A day in the shop in 15 seconds
- One tip a customer would find useful
Postin handles photos today. Posting Reels automatically, with music from Instagram's library, is on our list. See the Reels page.
